WAYWARD

Wayward isn’t a big deal. But then again, we never said that it is. We thrive on our humble beginnings together as genuine, long-term friends who developed a love for creating music together by playing covers by our favorite bands in 6th and 7th grade. Also, with highly-acclaimed Beatles tribute band Rain in our immediate families, music (and the implications of aspiring to play it for a living) are anything but unfamiliar to us. And so is the importance of working hard for something we care about, being honest with ourselves and our fans, and staying humble. We can’t even imagine how long ago we would have laid our instruments down if our be-all, end-all of being in a band was getting big and famous, or making rent.

With how over-saturated the industry has been lately with bands like us (and bands in general), we ruled out trying to make an impact with superficial first impressions. Rather, we stand behind the strength of our songs, and the strength of our personalities. We feel like those who stick around long enough to create a long-lasting, meaningful relationship with us as a band, and with us as individuals, get the most out of what we do (just ask any of them!). As fans of popular bands and musicians ourselves, we know exactly what it’s like to never have any kind of touch point with the artists we look up to. So we’re changing that. We’re whole-heartedly, shamelessly addicted to interacting withour fans, and so far, that alone has created such a huge impact on how we resonate with the world, that we feel completely confident continuing on this way. We write songs, record them, release them, play them at shows, then start all over again with bigger, better material. And all the while we let our fans in on the entire process to help give them a taste of the things that make what we do so fulfilling for us.

We hope we can share what we do with the world on an even bigger andbetter scale than we do now at some point. But until then, we’re going to do absolutely everything we can to get our music and our voices out to the people who are ready to hear them. Honestly, we’re having the time of our lives, and we couldn’t be more grateful for what little we’ve been privileged enough to experience.

Unapologetically, we do this for ourselves and for the people who believe in us. And we have no excuses for that. To every supporter, to every fan, and to every individual who has contributed to the music we make, and the experiences wehave, truly- thank you.
